Strategic Business Systems – Technical Writer (Remote)

Travel to a customer site in Houston, TX may be requested

Required:

• Use typical tools for writing and editing technical documents: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and similar tools.
• Have working knowledge of Information Technology systems to understand the intent of draft technical documents for context and end use.
• Review existing draft documents and edit them to standard templates (when available).
• Craft documentation templates when needed.
• Manage documents with version control in provided repositories.
• Communicate effectively and obtain clarifications and updates from team members when needed.
• Work in a fast-paced, exceptionally large project with tight timelines.
• Travel to the manufacturing site on occasion if asked.
• Ensure all documents are managed and stored in project repositories (e.g., SharePoint and similar repositories).
• Provide edited documents to the content owner for review and approval.
• Publish complete, reviewed, and approved documents to project teams following instructions from the Project Manager.
