Position: Sr. Software Developer (GraphQL)

Location: Government Site – Chantilly, VA (Onsite)

Clearance: Top Secret / SCI with CI Polygraph

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)

Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience

Overview

This is a senior-level software development position supporting high-impact projects within a government environment. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and debugging new software and enhancements to existing systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Graph

QL, React Relay, and Python, along with a strong understanding of business applications, security requirements, and user interface design. This position requires the ability to lead major technology assignments, function as a technical expert across multiple projects, and collaborate with technical staff to deliver reliable, secure software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software systems.
  • Lead major technology assignments and function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.
  • Design and implement desktop solutions, including security lockdown procedures and integration with standard software packages.
  • Integrate software with automated patching and deployment technologies.
  • Automate application and configuration deployments and updates.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend changes to improve short-term project growth and success.
  • Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for software improvements and enhancements.
  • Document software functionalities and assist in developing user manuals.
  • Provide training and support related to software deployment, updates, and best practices.
  • May supervise other team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Proficiency in Graph

    QL (primary skill).
  • Experience with React Relay and Python.
  • Strong understanding of business applications, user interface design, performance, quality, and security requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
  • Ability to plan and lead major technology assignments and evaluate performance results.
  • Experience functioning as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
Desired Skills
  • Strong knowledge of security lockdown procedures and deployment automation.
  • Experience working in government or classified environments.
  • Familiarity with automated patching and deployment technologies.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring other developers.
