Description:

We are seeking a Network Engineer responsible for configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a critical operational network. This position provides and excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working under the guidance of a senior network engineer. Provides an engineering resource to support data communications and related applications requirements. Provides administrative support of installed systems/networks. Responsible for planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain and/or enhance the organization's networks.

Evaluates vendor products and recommends purchases. Recommends and implements network policies and procedures and ensures adherence to security procedures. Responsibilities:
* Assist in installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance of network equipment (switches, firewalls, and load balancers)
* Monitor network performance and troubleshooting
* Document network configurations and diagrams
* Provide technical support to system operators
* Assist in implementing STIG compliance Desired Knowledge and

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's in computer science or information technology, 10+ years of experience
* Master's in computer science or information technology, 5+ years of experience
