QSSHire is partnering with a secure customer to identify a Data Scientist to support advanced research, development, testing, and deployment of machine learning and data science solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on data scientist with strong statistical foundations and experience working with machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing techniques across research-grade and operational environments.
You’ll join a technical team focused on developing, evaluating, and optimizing algorithms that operate on large-scale text and multimedia data while meeting performance, scalability, and deployment constraints.

In This Role, You’ll:

• Develop, test, and evaluate research-grade machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

• Build and apply predictive models using statistical inference and machine learning techniques.

• Perform large-scale text analytics and apply natural language processing methods.

• Develop and deploy machine learning solutions using Python and modern ML/DL frameworks.

• Work with PyTorch and other deep learning libraries to implement and evaluate models.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and lightweight services (e.g., Flask) to support model integration.

• Deploy and test CNNs, LLMs, and foundational models in applied environments.

• Develop testing and verification methodologies to evaluate algorithm performance and identify optimization strategies.

• Deploy machine learning models across multimedia data, including joint text, audio, video, hardware, and peripheral inputs.

• Perform Linux system administration and Bash scripting to support development and deployment environments.

• Support Android configuration, software development, and interfacing activities.

• Work with embedded systems such as Raspberry Pi to support edge or hardware-integrated use cases.

• Customize and optimize algorithms for memory and computational efficiency using techniques such as:
o Quantization
o Layer trimming
o Custom optimization methods

• Document results, report findings, and provide technical guidance on algorithm usage.

• Evaluate, integrate, and leverage internally hosted data science tools.

You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:

• Demonstrated experience programming in Python, with exposure to JavaScript and R.

• Hands-on experience using machine learning and deep learning libraries, including:
o Pandas
o Scikit-learn
o Tensor Flow
o Py Torch

• A strong background in statistics, including statistical inference and predictive modeling.

• Experience performing large-scale text analytics.

• Familiarity with Flask and the ability to quickly pick up new frameworks.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.

• A foundational understanding of natural language processing (NLP).

• Experience working in Linux environments, including Bash scripting.

• Experience with Android configuration and development.

• Experience working with embedded systems, such as Raspberry Pi.

• Hands-on research or development experience in natural language processing.

• Experience deploying, testing, and working with:
o Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)
o Large Language Models (LLMs)
o Foundational models

• Experience developing testing and verification methodologies for algorithm performance.

• Experience deploying ML models across multimedia and hardware-integrated environments.

• Experience optimizing algorithms for performance, memory, and computational efficiency.
