Position: Web Developer (All Levels) (Contingent)

Overview

Insight Xcite is hiring Web Developers at all levels to support dynamic, mission-critical development projects for a government client in Northern Virginia. You’ll work in a secure environment, helping design, build, and deploy custom applications that support national security objectives. The work is complex, fast-paced, and high-impact — just how we like it.

Contingent Upon Award: This position is contingent upon contract award and/or funding approval. Candidates selected may be contacted for pre-screening and qualification prior to award.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build web-based applications from concept to deployment.
  • Write clean, scalable code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Java.
  • Integrate systems with external data sources and API-driven enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, draft specifications, and design comprehensive solutions.
  • Develop and optimize user interfaces, reports, and workflows to enhance business processes and productivity.
  • Participate actively in agile development cycles including sprints, stand-ups, and review meetings.
  • Ensure application security by implementing industry-standard coding practices and maintaining robust system documentation.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — non-negotiable. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience (or 4 years with a Master’s degree; 8 years with an Associate’s degree).
  • Proven expertise in full-stack development utilizing modern web technologies.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, and understanding of Dev Ops or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and skill in interfacing with non-technical users.
  • Desirable but not required:
    Previous work with SharePoint, Salesforce, Service Now, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
