Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure and Virtualization Specialist, you will plan, design, and implement cutting-edge network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems. Your expertise will support the robustness and reliability of the forensic and investigative ecosystem across multi-enclave environments. We are specifically looking for candidates with extensive experience in Nutanix HCI, VMWare, Linux, and Windows systems.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph
• This position is onsite 5 days a week in Chantilly, VA
• May require occasional travel for Program Increment planning sessions

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in systems engineering or related field
• Experience with SAFe Agile framework
• Understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure systems in government environments

• Advanced proficiency in virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox, Nutanix)
• Network administration and security
• Cloud platforms (AWS Gov Cloud, SC2S, C2S)
• Linux and Windows operating systems
• Windows Active Directory
• Network hardware (Cisco, Arista, Sonic Wall)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Security accreditation processes

• Hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure
• Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools
• Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms
• Automation and scripting (Python, C#)
• Database technologies (SQL, MySQL, Postgre
  
  SQL)
• LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak
• Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
• SAFe Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, design, develop, and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems
• Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems
• Troubleshoot at both physical and logical network levels
• Participate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation for new network infrastructure
• Perform systems management and integration functions across multi-enclave environments
• Maintain network infrastructure standards including communication protocols such as TCP/IP
• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems
• Ensure systems are current with approved patches and assist with certification and accreditation tasks
• Develop strategy for client/server systems and design infrastructure to support that strategy
• Advise on the selection of technological purchases for processing, data storage, data access, and applications development
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
• Support Dev Sec Ops  practices and tools implementation
