AWS Cloud Engineer – Strategic Business Systems (SBS)

Join our innovative team at SBS, where we develop and deploy AWS solutions that enable mission owners to self‑onboard, build, and secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Impact Level (IL)-4/5 workloads quickly while meeting stringent government requirements.

Location:

Chantilly, VA. Hybrid: 4 days on‑site, 1 day remote.

• Design, develop, and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure and applications, including Lambda, API Gateway, CDK, Cloud Formation, and Gov Cloud integration.
• Integrate third‑party applications and services (e.g., Azure Entra SAML/SCIM, Netskope, Service Now, Reg Scale, Wiz) via REST APIs.
• Configure and maintain network services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), and security through SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, etc.
• Ensure compliance with government and commercial cloud standards, automate ATO processes, and manage secure authentication tokens.
• Lead Agile Scrum initiatives, perform project management, and serve as Scrum Master.
• Provision and troubleshoot CSSP agents (ELK, Nessus, Trellix/McAfee) and orchestrate container deployments on ECS Fargate.
• Optimize Java and Node.js applications for performance using Maven, Graal
  
  VM, container deployments, and Type Script/JavaScript best practices.
• Document configurations, run post‑deploy checks, and support Postgre
  
  SQL database maintenance.

• 5+ years of AWS Cloud Architect and Infrastructure Engineer experience
• 5+ years of AWS Cloud Development & Application Deployment experience
• 5+ years of Java programming experience (Java 11+)
• 5+ years of Node.js, JavaScript/Type Script, and React.js programming experience
• 5+ years of Project Management experience
• 5+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience

• Infrastructure & Application:
  Azure Entra SAML/SCIM Federation, AWS Landing Zone Accelerator, AWS CDK & Cloud Formation, Lambda, API Gateway, Gov Cloud integration, AWS SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager, Transit GW, VPC configuration, EC2, ECS on Fargate, ALB/NLB, CSSP agent installation (ELK, Nessus, Trellix/McAfee), Netskope NPA ZTNA configuration.
• Software Language & Tools:
  Java 11+, Maven, Graal
  
  VM, Node.js 18+, container deployment, JavaScript/Type Script, Azure Entra SSO, Zod, TRPC, Kysely, React.js, Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Axios, Tan Stack, Postgre
  
  SQL.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or comparable experience)
• ACAS 201
