Shift Supervisor

Restaurant Associates – National Air and Space Hazy, 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway, Chantilly, VA 20151. Online applications accepted only.

• Schedule: Full‑time; days may vary (10:00 am–6:00 pm), weekends required. Detailed schedule provided during interview.
• Pay Range: $19.00–$21.00 per hour.
• Requirements: Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure are maintained.

• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate employee performance, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor, develop employees and encourage them to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Use medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
• Use oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steam tables.
• Wear slip‑resistant shoes and use proper lifting techniques.
