RIGHTECH is a leading nationwide provider of technical staffing services, and we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Safety Coordinator / Specialist / Manager in Chantilly, VA starting 2/15/26.
Job Title: Safety Coordinator / Specialist / Manager

Start Date: 02/16/2026
- Oversees the safety of job sites and all staff.
- Conducts risk assessment and enforces preventative measures.
- Conducts CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training for all Staff as needed.
- Assists with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Intervenes to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with EHS guidelines.
- Assists with reviewing and maintaining existing policies and measures and updates according to legislation and current practices.
- Establishes or creates weekly toolbox talks and ensures compliance.
- Assists with quarterly safety meetings to include content, coordination of meeting space, etc.
- Assists with coordinating guest safety speakers.
- Inspects job sites to identify issues and/or non-conformity.
- Provides regular reports and updates to the Safety Manager.
- Assists with identifying and developing training programs.
- Maintains PPE supplies and orders as needed.
- Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PPT, Teams, Procore, and other programs as needed
- Receive and maintains CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor certification. (Other Certifications as required)
This job operates in an office and field environment; it may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and extreme temperatures. This role also routinely uses basic construction PPE, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
TravelUp to 50% (Travel requirements are very limited, with rare instances outside the immediate vicinity.)
Physical Demands & Requirements- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods across worksites
- Capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and stairs to access all areas of the job site
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Capable of wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and safety toe footwear for extended durations
- Adequate hearing and vision (with or without corrective aids) to identify hazards and monitor work activities
- Ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, and bend to inspect confined or low-clearance areas
- Able to traverse uneven terrain, including gravel, dirt, and debris
- Sufficient hand dexterity to write reports, use mobile devices, and operate safety equipment
- Physically able to respond quickly to on-site emergencies or incidents
This is a full-time position. (Hours based on field staff needs, with an on-call schedule)
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School diploma and/or equivalent of education and experience
- 3 years' relevant experience
- 1-3 years' experience in instruction or teaching minimum CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens (or other form of instruction)
Education and Experience
- Bachelors of Science in Occupational Safety or (4 years) equivalent work experience
- Construction experience
- OSHA 510 (OSHA 30, OSHA 500,)
