We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety, with a passion for creating a safe and compliant workplace.
Summary/ObjectiveThe Safety Professional is responsible for establishing a safe workplace according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction industry standards, as well as foster a culture of attention to health and safety.

Site Safety & Compliance- Conducts site visits and monitors the safety of job sites and all staff.
- Conducts risk assessments and enforces preventative measures.
- Assists with daily Pre-Task Planning (PTP) and ensures proper documentation is completed by field staff.
- Participates in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for high-risk tasks and ensures mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Assists in developing, updating, and enforcing Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) for each project in coordination with the Safety Manager, Project Managers, and client requirements.
- Conducts and documents site safety observations, inspections, and audits. Provides clear written reports with identified hazards, corrective actions, and follow-up requirements.
- Tracks and trends safety observations to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Prepares written reports for distribution to the Safety Manager, Project Managers, and other stakeholders as required.
- Intervenes to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with EHS guidelines.
- Inspects job sites to identify issues and/or non-conformities.
- Provides regular reports and updates to the Safety Manager.
- Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; and contributes to a safe and secure working environment.
- Conducts CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens training for staff as needed.
- Assists with identifying and developing training programs.
- Receives and maintains CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor certification (other certifications as required).
- Assists with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Physically able to respond quickly to on-site emergencies or incidents.
- Assists with reviewing and maintaining existing safety policies and measures; updates per legislation and best practices.
- Maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Maintains PPE supplies and orders as needed.
- Establishes and/or creates weekly toolbox talks and ensures compliance.
- Assists with quarterly safety meetings, including content development and coordination of meeting space.
- Assists with coordinating guest safety speakers.
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office and field environment; it may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials and extreme temperatures. This role also routinely uses basic construction PPE, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
TravelUp to 50% (Travel requirements are very limited, with rare instances outside the immediate vicinity.)
