IV Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a closed-door pharmacy setting. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of pharmaceutical products while adhering to federal and state regulations.

• Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.
• Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.
• Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities as required by applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.
• Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR+ for the patient's profile when available.
• Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.
• Verify lot numbers and perform periodic checks in inventory.
• Assist with On-Call responsibilities as needed.
• Complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.
• Understand confidentiality regarding company proprietary information and patient/client care; comply with federal and state laws on confidentiality of PHI and EPHI; follow HIPAA guidelines regarding protected health information.

• State registered as a pharmacy technician.
• Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
