OverviewThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Security Specialist. Providing management oversight for information systems and personnel security program policies in support of USAF, DoD, and National level Special Access Programs (SAPs). Advises AFOSI/PJ senior leadership on major USAF capability requirements and ensures SAP Information Protection procedures are followed.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:

- Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Shift work and emergency overtime may be required as dictated by mission requirements
- Employee must maintain current certifications

- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
- Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Incumbent will be subject to psychological screening / Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph as an inherent primary requirement of their position.
- The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
- Professional staff (pro-staff) Suitability Investigations (PSI):
The incumbent must undergo an internal background investigation by AFOSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of AFOSI or the Commander's designated representative(s).
