Lead and perform the full range of financial management activities, including reconciliations, accountings, and transaction analysis. Serve as the primary point of contact for financial and administrative issues within the assigned office. Prepare and certify financial accountings related to vendor payments, debt collection, payroll, benefits, and travel. Review and reconcile General Ledger and bank accounts, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Monitor, validate, and adjust commitments and obligations in accordance with Agency policies. Advise leadership and team members on financial policy interpretation, procedural improvements, and compliance requirements. Guide and mentor analysts in financial operations, data integrity, and reporting best practices. Provide functional expertise in system development, reporting, and testing activities. Act as liaison between system developers and end users, ensuring alignment between operational needs and technical capabilities.
Deliver customer support and training related to financial systems and updates. Contribute to process improvements, policy development, and financial data integrity initiatives. Qualifications 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial management (federal or large-scale organization preferred). Strong knowledge of GAAP, FASAB, and FASB standards. Familiarity with federal financial management regulations and automated financial systems. Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure audit readiness.
Demonstrated experience providing policy interpretation and financial guidance at a senior level. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage shifting priorities and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
