About the opportunitiesWe are currently seeking highly motivated and talented Junior, Mid-level, and Senior-level Real Estate Development Managers, Land Development Managers, and Construction Managers to support upcoming projects in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Real Estate Development Managersoversee planning, entitlements, design, permitting, budgeting, site work, and construction management, providing comprehensive project lifecycle guidance to owners, and oversight to construction project teams from feasibility and due diligence through project delivery and closeout. Ideal candidates have strong experience in real estate development projects, supporting strategic planning, developing high-performing project teams, coordinating design and construction partners, and delivering successful outcomes aligned with client and end-user objectives.
LandDevelopment Managers and Construction Managers
are responsible for overseeing all project phases from due diligence and entitlement through construction and closeout, ensuring compliance with local jurisdictional requirements, budget constraints, schedules, and quality standards. Ideal candidates have strong experience in civil or geotechnical aspects of development, navigating permitting agencies, managing design consultants and contractors, coordinating multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced development environment, and familiarity with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, stormwater management facility Best Management Practices (BMPs) observations, installation, and inspections.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or 5+ years of relevant field experience)
- Strong working knowledge of Northern Virginia and Maryland land development regulations and processes
- Experience managing contractors, design consultants, and permitting agencies
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- PE, PMP, or CCM certification
- Experience with mixed-use, residential, commercial, or data center developments
- Experience with civil or geotechnical aspects of land development projects
- Familiarity with Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) stormwater and erosion and sediment (E&S) requirements
- Familiarity with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, stormwater management facility Best Management Practices (BMPs) observations, installation, and inspections
- Background working with Departments of Transportation
- Combination of office and field work
- Frequent travel to project sites throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan region
- Occasional evening meetings with jurisdictions or community stakeholders
- Competitive Compensation, Commensurate with Experience (full-time W-2, or hourly 1099)
