We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 6 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of this unit, you will be involved in designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Information System Security Engineer Position Summary

This role involves working on developmental and operational teams responsible for system security engineering services for federal government systems in a highly secure environment.

  • Supporting team members, vendors, and government customers
  • Implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on IT and OT systems
  • Assisting in documentation for DoD RMF assessment and authorization
  • Conducting ICS/SCADA system inventories following DoD guidance
  • Performing vulnerability scans and documenting vulnerabilities
  • Supporting ISO standardization and quality inspections
  • Participating in improving organizational cybersecurity posture
  • Providing system security engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and available systems and networks
  • Integrating security principles into system architecture
  • Designing, testing, and deploying secure systems and networks
  • Assessing and mitigating security threats throughout the system lifecycle
  • Contributing to security planning, risk analysis, and certification activities
  • Reviewing assessment and accreditation documentation for compliance
  • Applying security engineering expertise across various domains including risk management, intrusion detection, and system integration
  • Providing security requirements and verification for systems
  • Serving as subject matter expert for A&A and Continuous Monitoring processes
  • Guiding system owners and teams on security strategies

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: U.S. Citizenship required; ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY clearance needed.

Education and Experience:

  • 9+ years with Master’s in IT, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity
  • 12+ years with Bachelor’s
  • 15+ years with Associate’s
  • 18+ years with High School diploma

Additional Experience Needed:

  • Experience with industry and government platform/system design
  • Experience with cybersecurity in industrial control systems
  • Proficiency with ACAS, HBSS, and mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, NIST standards, and DoD lifecycle

Skills:

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools; experience with AutoCAD, Visio a plus
