Cyber​/IT SETA

Overview

Cyber/IT SETA role at VT Group (VTG) – Cyber and Information Technology Systems Engineering/Technical Assistance (SETA) with a focus on IT and Cyber Security, based in Chantilly, VA.

• Provide detailed and focused engineering support (hardware and software) through its entire life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on domain expert involvement, risk/opportunity management, and process tailoring to meet specific project needs. Define system requirements and CONOPS and refine them as needed.
• Project management responsibilities, including preparation of project documentation and communication plans.
• Technical expertise and facilitation of meetings across multiple groups to capture requirements, taking and distributing minutes and actions.
• Support discovery and management of cyber risk, understand applicable policies, and develop mitigation plans and a tracking system for Authorization and Accreditation and Authority to Operate.
• Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security policy and mission requirements; conduct cyber security assessments, security design engineering, and threat monitoring of non‑IT systems.

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least ten (10) years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide engineering support through the entire life cycle, incorporating domain expertise and risk management.
• Experience with project management responsibilities, including documentation and communication planning.
• Technical expertise and facilitation across multiple groups, including minute taking and action tracking.
• Experience managing cyber risk, understanding policy, and developing mitigation and tracking plans for Authorization and Accreditation and Authority to Operate.
• Ability and experience developing and implementing security solutions aligned with policy, conducting assessments, design engineering, and threat monitoring of non‑IT systems.
