Model and Simulation Systems Engineer at K , Inc.
A highly motivated Systems Engineer will support an Intelligence Community Space customer by performing modeling and simulation of complex space systems within a Digital Engineering Environment.
Responsibilities- Modeling and simulation of space systems, space and ground segments.
- Provide technical expertise in systems and engineering to support resilience enterprise mission operations activities, programs, systems, and processes.
- Support modeling and simulation, including threat assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses.
- Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
- Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.

Standard
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
- 5+ years’ experience in the space systems domain.
- Prior experience with satellite systems.
- Experience in modeling and simulation.
- Experience analyzing and summarizing data with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.
- Object‑Oriented Design and Analysis experience.
- Experience with orbital analysis tools such as Ansys Systems Toolkit (STK).
- Prior experience with resilience mission fundamentals.
- Prior experience with sensor modeling.
- Experience with UML/SysML/UAF models.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with IC and/or DoD.
