This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the “best” candidates.
In our Advanced Manufacturing Group, we help heavy‑industrial clients with innovative HVAC design solutions. You will work alongside engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll work with a multi‑disciplinary, highly interactive team to meet the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities- Layout and design of HVAC systems.
- Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, which include calculations for sizing and selecting systems, development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
- Development of final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.
- Coordination with other disciplines.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
- Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
- Software experience in AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Experience design of plumbing/utility systems.
