• Field observations at jobsites in the region.
• Sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Preparing accurate daily logs that outline inspections and results of the tests performed on construction materials (soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel).
• Daily communication with project manager or operations manager regarding project progress or other pertinent communication by the contractor.

• Reliable vehicle for field work, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to meet additional pre‑employment criteria.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60–80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, other equipment).
• Ability to work in all outdoor climates and navigate various terrain.
• Attention to detail and quality while adhering to all safety requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Use of company‑provided tablet and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
• With training, ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
