Overview

About The Role Are you a hands-on field leader who thrives on coordinating large crews, complex installations, and fast-paced construction environments? We’re looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations across multiple projects and large (20+) field crews.

In this role, you’ll own day-to-day site execution—driving safety, productivity, quality, and schedule adherence. You’ll work closely with Operations Managers, Project Managers, Foremen, and Lead Technicians to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to specification while maintaining a professional, accountable jobsite culture.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all on-site installation activities across multiple active projects and large field crews.
  • Execute project schedules and ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily manpower, workload, and resource allocation.
  • Provide strong on-site leadership and foster a collaborative, safety-first work environment.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between Operations, Project Management, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily site briefings and communicate updates on manpower, materials, safety, and progress.
  • Monitor job sites for safety compliance, cleanliness, and overall quality control.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and OSHA safety standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and cable designs to guide installation activities.
  • Coordinate installation of low-voltage systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, DAS, AV, access control, and intrusion detection.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, industry codes, and customer specifications.
  • Review project scope, materials, and plans prior to job start; identify risks and propose solutions.
  • Forecast labor, materials, lifts, testing, and safety equipment 2–4 weeks in advance.
  • Track and verify materials and equipment usage, ensuring efficiency and timely replenishment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel to promote technical excellence and career growth.
  • Support performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions in coordination with Operations and HR.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, accountability, and adherence to company values.
  • Coordinate pathways, bonding, grounding, and fire stopping with Foremen and Leads.
  • Promote Lean Construction principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage task tracking and labor hours across assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on issue resolution, scheduling adjustments, and scope changes.
  • Support QA/QC inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
  • Maintain organized, professional job sites and storage areas.
  • Travel to multiple job sites as required.
What You Bring
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions in dynamic field environments.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to lead under pressure.
  • Experience motivating teams and resolving conflict effectively.
  • Strong client service mindset with urgency and accountability.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mobile field technology.
  • Working knowledge of material tracking, labor reporting, and construction workflows.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing site conditions and project demands.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of low-voltage installation experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Manufacturer certifications (Leviton, Berk-Tek, SYSTIMAX, Ortronics, Panduit, etc.) preferred.
  • Low-voltage electrical license or industry certifications (BICSI, Info Comm, NSCA, SCTE) preferred.
  • Experience with project tracking or construction management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Pro-Contractor).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
