What You'll Learn
- Proposal Lifecycle:
Understand the full proposal process and roles involved in identifying an opportunity, kicking off the proposal, managing content creation, submitting the final response, and learning of the award. - Information Architecture and Content Curation:
Learn how to organize, categorize, and structure information to make it searchable and useful. - Technologies that Support Enterprise Knowledge:
Learn how to use SharePoint and AI tool(s) for content management and/or refinement.
- Content Mining:
Review submitted proposal responses, reports, and marketing materials to identify, extract, and categorize reusable content. - Archiving and Repository Management:
Maintain organization of the proposal library to ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible. - Metadata Tagging:
Apply consistent tagging/indexing to content to improve searchability. - Iterative Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement by questioning current workflows.
- Writing & Editing:
Assist with specifics of proposal writing and editing. - Visual Communications:
Create proposal graphics (e.g., organization charts, process flows, presentations) using Adobe Illustrator. - SharePoint Administration:
Assist with the structural management of proposal sites, including managing user permissions, creating document libraries, and optimizing site navigation for active bid teams. - Compliance Review:
Cross-check drafts against RFP requirements to ensure compliance with customer instructions.
- HS 3-4 Years
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree; preference for Communications, English, Marketing, Art/Graphics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in learning about the business growth and proposal lifecycle.
- Experience with knowledge management tools, e.g., SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of AI tools for content curation.
