This position will assemble rigging to lift and move various equipment and materials to and from industrial work areas. Responsibilities include safety-focused rigging setup and operation, and coordination with crane operators.

• Select cables, ropes, pullies, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
• Attach pullies and blocks to fixed overhead structures (beams, ceilings, gin pole booms) with bolts and clamps.
• Assemble and disassemble cranes.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
• Attach load with grappling devices (loops, wire rope, chains) to crane hook.
• Direct crane operator in hoisting and moving loads using hand signals and radios to ensure safety.
• Set up, brace and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Observe and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Maintain current certifications to meet regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.

Certification/Licenses: NCCCO Rigger 1 & 2 or Advanced Gold Card NCCER Certification, and a Valid Driver’s License.
