Junior Estimator

Blastco Texas, Inc. is seeking a Junior Estimator to support our estimating team in the preparation and delivery of accurate, professional, and competitive bids. This entry‑level role is designed for a highly detail‑oriented individual who is strong on the computer, eager to learn, and interested in long‑term growth within construction estimating and project management.

This position offers significant exposure to real‑world estimating, bonding, and pre‑construction activities, with a clear path for advancement as skills and responsibilities grow.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with bid preparation for public and private projects
• Complete and maintain pre‑qualification forms and bid documentation
• Coordinate bid bond requests and transmit bond information
• Procure payment & performance bonds upon project award
• Assist with assembling and reviewing final proposal packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Attend pre‑bid and pre‑construction meetings as required
• Collaborate closely with senior estimators and project managers
• Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and estimating data

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills and comfort working in a fast‑paced, document‑heavy environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to continue learning through further education or on‑the‑job training
• Experience in estimating is a plus
• Experience with water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects is a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
