Position Overview:

The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader ensures the team has a clear understanding of goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives and guest connections during the shift.

• Demonstrates mastery of the doing of Team Member tasks with enthusiasm and excellence
• Lead shifts focused on team engagement and guest satisfaction with a commitment to Make Fun Happen
• Maximize product sales and waste management
• Owns the look and feel of the store and demonstrates the “total store vision”
• Understands the daily deployment, roles and responsibilities associated
• Communicates effectively on the floor during the shift
• Anticipates team and guest needs and addresses situations proactively
• Manages multiple shift priorities and delegates objectives and tasks
• Takes ownership for the current shift and the following shift
• Ensures SOP and quality standards are executed correctly and consistently
• Provides on-the-spot coaching and feedback to Team Members to optimize performance
• Trains team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions
• Performs administrative tasks with integrity, including bank deposits, inventory, store product orders and other duties as assigned
• Develops Team Members and engages in conversations about career growth

Required:

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience or approved training by Caribou Coffee to assume Shift Leader responsibilities
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

The physical requirements include hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to meet these requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.

Compensation Range: $12.75 - $21.25 per hour

Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations. Pay ranges reflect what the employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position.
