Limited Scope X-ray Operator & Lab

Overview

Purpose of Job:
This position is responsible for performing non-invasive general radiology procedures according to established policies and procedures.

• Prepares room, equipment and materials as needed for patient procedures
• Sterilizes instruments, exam rooms and equipment
• Troubleshoots and maintains equipment
• Completes daily QA/QC procedures
• Demonstrates room and equipment cleaning process between patients
• Organizes and maintains x-ray supplies and inventory
• Communicates with providers, patients and support staff as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

• X-Ray Operator License (grandfathered prior to 2007) or completion of AART limited scope Operator examination per Minnesota Department of Health (required minimum if performing x-ray function)
• Current CPR Certification

• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team
• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
• Ability to multi-task

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
