– Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product development, prototyping, design and sales teams to engineer creative and compelling solutions within project budgets and timelines.
- Mentor and coach Design Engineers on a project‑by‑project basis.
- Work with clients (outside client, sales, or PM) to understand project objectives.
- Create detailed Solid Works models, drawings, and BOMs for prototyping and production of parts.
- Generate PDF drawings and compatible files for production on CNC machines (if applicable).
- Ensure accurate documentation and revision control of all drawings and models.
- Lead the team in utilizing our EPDM file database and part numbering system.
- Build plastic models using SOPs provided by the TBG Fabrication team.
- Create Solid Works renderings using Photoview 360 or similar software and present materials in InDesign templates to the project team and clients.
- Model and draw parts that have already been produced or prototyped and participate in value‑engineering exercises.
- Collaborate with fabrication, vendor partners or prototype teams to edit and revise parts for production.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of hardware library, material library and proper hardware applications.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of material attributes and fabrication processes, finishes and finishing techniques.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by Management.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (this is a hybrid role and requires some onsite presence at our Chanhassen, MN office).

- Bachelor’s Degree in CAD/Engineering, Mechanical Design or Engineering.
- 6+ years’ experience in Solid Works, CAD software, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Creative Suites, working in a related industry, preferably print or retail.
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to admit mistakes.

$83,000 – $100,000 annually.
Range reflects our good‑faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
