Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Chanhassen, Minnesota. In this role, you will manage critical accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support organizational goals through accurate financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and record month-end journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts with precision and timeliness.

- Analyze and compile materials for external audits and financial reporting requirements.

- Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and document procedures to support continuous improvement efforts.

- Investigate discrepancies in accounts and variances, providing clear explanations and recommendations.

- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial results and adherence to corporate deadlines.

- Create and deliver various reporting packages as assigned by management.

- Perform daily and weekly accounting tasks in alignment with organizational guidelines.

- Maintain compliance with internal controls and contribute to quality assurance in financial operations.

- Collaborate with team members and management to address key accounting issues effectively. Requirements - Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a commitment to accuracy.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, paired with exceptional customer service abilities.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and financial information.

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and budgeting processes is highly desirable.
