The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. The associate also counts and inspects product, notifying leadership about damages or discrepancies. They are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will perform all duties as assigned. Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, and comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Picking:
Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders, stage products, and follow customer requirements. Pack, band, shrink‑wrap, and label items per SOPs. - Quality Control:
Verify that products/orders meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and perform packaging and labeling as needed. - Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance:
Execute all safety protocols, maintain a clean work area, assist in warehouse security, and comply with SOPs, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards. - Equipment Operation:
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently, upkeep equipment, and report problems. - Maintenance:
Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. - Other Duties:
Perform additional duties as assigned, work overtime as dictated by business, and be ready for mandatory or voluntary overtime. - Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). - Other:
Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate. - Computer
Skills:
None. - Language
Skills:
English (reading, writing, verbal). - Mathematical
Skills:
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other duties. - Other:
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, adaptability to change, thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- 6 months experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Occasionally:
Handling/Fingering, sitting. - Frequently:
Bending. - Constantly:
Walking and standing. - Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 21‑50 pounds, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
Work exposure to fumes or airborne particles is rare. Noise level is usually low to moderate.
