Yard Foreman

1. Purpose of Role

Lead safe, on-time, on-budget yard and warehouse operations by supervising people, inventory, staging/kitting, shipping/receiving, and tool/equipment control; coordinate with procurement, logistics, and field teams.

Direct daily yard workflow, assign crew tasks, and prioritize orders; elevate vendor or schedule risks; own yard safety culture and documentation standards.

• Plan and schedule yard operations: receiving, put-away, cycle counts, kitting, and delivery staging.
• Oversee inventory/warehouse management: location control, bin integrity, shrink mitigation, quality checks.
• Coordinate logistics and procurement interfaces: order status, substitutions, will-call, delivery windows.
• Ensure compliant traffic control patterns, JSAs, equipment inspections, and incident response steps.
• Maintain documentation quality (labels, counts, SN/model when required) and ensure timely updates in Procore.

• Track KPIs (safety, accuracy, throughput, cost) and drive continuous improvement in yard flow and space usage.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction card required prior to start date.
• Forklift certification required.
• First Aid certification required.
• Demonstrated competency with outlined skills through work experience, education, or a combination of both.
• 2+ years experience leading people preferred.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs., work outdoors in varied conditions, and stand/walk most of shift.
• Basic familiarity with spreadsheets and mobile apps preferred (Procore, Bamboo
  
  HR, inventory management tools).
• Valid driver’s license required. Clean driving record; must be able to meet MVR and insurance requirements to be approved as a company driver.
• Proficiency in driving pickup trucks pulling trailers preferred.
