Data Center Solutions (DCS) Business UnitThis unit designs enterprise class storage solutions and is part of the Applications Engineering team. The role provides best‑in‑class technical support for DCS hardware and firmware/software products, working closely with Product Development, Validation, Marketing and Sales teams.
Responsibilities- Support, manage and resolve technical issues related to DCS Hardware and Firmware/Software products
- Debug Firmware, Software and protocol‑level issues for enterprise storage devices
- Work with customers and cross‑functional teams throughout the product lifecycle from gathering requirements to post‑production support
- Develop and maintain customer collateral such as Firmware User Manuals, Quick Start Guides, Release Notes, Errata and Application Notes
- Provide product training to customers and internal teams
- Demonstrate new products to customers and at industry events
- Conduct feasibility studies, investigations, proofs of concept and prototype development for next‑generation products
- Travel within North America and internationally to provide on‑site support or attend meetings (0% – 25% of time)
- Bachelor’s degree in CE, CSE, EE with 7.5‑9 years experience, or Master’s degree in CE, CSE, EE with 5‑6 years relevant experience (firmware development for storage/communication products or AI/ML tools)
- Strong firmware/embedded systems development and debugging skills
- Experience in design, development and testing of firmware using C language
- Experience developing debugging tools using scripting languages (Java, TCL/TK, PERL, Python, etc.)
- Experience/knowledge of SoC architecture
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Customer‑facing experience

Physical RequirementsRegular business hours; 70% sitting, 15% standing, 15% walking.
Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position (US) is $70,304 – $205,000. Compensation includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonuses, health benefits, retirement savings plans, and an industry‑leading ESPP program.
