Data Center Technician

The Data Center Technician is a field-based technician that assists with our customers' rack energization efforts and various electrical construction activities inside active data centers. This role supports 48 Electric’s mission by learning and applying electrical trade skills in accordance with the NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E standards while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Data Center Technicians must have reliable transportation, be authorized to work in the U.S., and be able to pass a drug test and background check. We work in a highly professional environment, not a general construction jobsite. Professionalism is a requirement.

• Assist with the safe and precise energization of server racks and related electrical equipment.
• Support ongoing construction efforts inside live data centers, maintaining strict adherence to site protocols and safety standards.
• Operate hand tools, lifts, and other equipment at varying heights safely and effectively.
• Work independently or as part of a team depending on project needs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an 8 to 10-hour work shift.
• Completing overhead work for full-day assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is not color blind.
• Possess good vision (normal or corrected).

Monday through Friday, starting at 06:30 a.m. and some Saturdays.
