, you would be responsible for expanding the company's footprint in the eGSE (electric Ground Support Equipment), on-road EV Charging, and material handling sectors. Below is a detailed job description based on the company's current market positioning and industry requirements.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) at Minit Charger LLC is a high-visibility, growth-oriented role. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders in the aviation and logistics industries, and driving the adoption of Minit Charger’s impressive portfolio of MAGNUS, MOBILUS, ALTUS II, and Momentus chargers and Asset Pro 360 software. This role requires a blend of technical sales acumen and strategic networking to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and target high-potential clients, including major airlines, airport authorities, 3PL (Third Party Logistics) providers, and large-scale warehouse operators.
- Conduct cold outreach and leverage Linked In/networking to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Attend industry trade shows and conferences (e.g., Ground Support Expo) to represent the brand and capture leads.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with "household name" clients (e.g., Kellogg, Whirlpool, Goodyear) and airport operators.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate client needs into customized charging and asset management solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial discovery calls and site surveys to contract negotiation and closing.
- Conduct presentations and "lunch and learns" to educate prospects on the ROI of Minit Charger’s patented fast-charging technology.
- Demonstrate the value of the Asset Pro 360 and Cell Trac platforms, showing how real-time data and cloud connectivity optimize fleet maintenance and safety.
- Draft detailed proposals, RFP responses, and sales pitches tailored to specific industrial applications.
- Analyze industry trends (e.g., electrification mandates in aviation) to identify new growth levers.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and forecasts in the company CRM.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on market feedback and competitive activity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a technical field (Engineering background is a plus).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Field Sales, preferably within industrial equipment, EV infrastructure, or aviation sectors.
- Technical Savvy: Ability to understand and explain complex power electronics (e.g., SiC technology, DC fast charging) and IoT software platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation and public speaking skills; ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingness to travel (approx. 10%) to visit client sites and attend industry events.
