Veterans Engineering is actively seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for our Medical-Surgical unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from surgery or dealing with ongoing medical conditions. You will work as part of a collaborative team while utilizing your clinical skills to assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and critical thinking skills and have a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care and overall patient needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Read and interpret cardiac strips
  • Titrate down Amiodarone & Cardizem
  • Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatments, and ongoing care
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred;
    Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience (within last 6 months)
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Travel Requirements

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
