Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.At least 2 years of experience in public nursing is required.Must have active AZ or compact RN license in good standing.Certification: CPR/BLS.Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP).Job Description:
Contracted for the 24/25 Summer School Year (4-week contract). Contract follows the academic district calendar – 27.5 hours per week. In-person Only.
Key Responsibilities:
Administers first aid, medication and specialized medical treatment.Assesses situations involving students’ safety, abuse, and other health related issues.Collaborates with parents, students, health care providers, and/or other agencies.Conducts programs and/or activities, e.g., health screening, etc.Develops and maintains health care plans, medical emergency cards, emergency care plans, records, e.g., mandated screening, chronic illness, etc.Implements school health care plans and emergency care plans.Prepares a wide variety of written materials, e.g., quantity reports, student activities, correspondence, internal audits, etc.Provides staff training on a variety of health-related subjects, e.g., CPR, universal precautions, disaster preparedness, child abuse, health education, etc.Reports students with contagious diseases as mandated by local public health authorities.Responds to emergency situations and/or evaluates need to activate local EMS.Salary:
$1,100.00 to $1,237.00/week
