CVD Maintenance Technician

Join NXP Semiconductors as a CVD Maintenance Technician in our Chandler Fab CVD area.

Job Description

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, conduct consumable changes, and ensure safety and reliability standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment in Chandler Fab CVD area.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and other equipment activities.
  • Diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data, and create action plans.
  • Work in a high‑volume manufacturing environment sustaining equipment with minimal direction.
  • Use root‑cause problem‑solving techniques to solve complex problems on semiconductor toolsets.
  • Operate compressed shifts on days or nights.
Qualifications
  • AA, AS, or AAS in electronics or mechanical discipline preferred; education plus experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) and perform physical tasks such as stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience working in a clean‑room environment and following proper clean‑room protocols.
  • 5S certification preferred; knowledge of the 5S program is required.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
  • Solid understanding of SPC, 5S, FDC systems and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external groups to satisfy safety, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Understanding of and ability to follow all safety protocols when working around hazardous chemicals.
  • Completion of required documentation and training of others.

Physical & Work Environment
  • Work in a compressed shift schedule (days or nights).
  • Stand for up to 12 hours, stoop, crawl in confined spaces, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
