CNC Mill Machine Operator

Overview

This position loads, operates and unloads CNC machinery with ceramic semi-finished products. The CNC Technician ensures the machining production schedule is executed to meet time, quality and productivity requirements.

• Set up and operate machine tools to create/modify ceramic parts for direct sale to a customer.
• Set up CNC and industrial machinery and oversee its functioning. Interpret blueprints and calibrate equipment to follow product specifications.
• Follow strict safety regulations and a tightly controlled sequence of functions and equipment programming.
• Communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors; attend regular training on equipment updates. Act as a Cell Lead coordinating day-to-day activity and provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety.
• Be self-sufficient and work with minimal supervision; detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion.
• Load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery safely and correctly; change out tools as required. Calibrate calipers and micrometers and use other small tools.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Report progress to the production supervisor in their department.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• 5+ years CNC experience
• Computer literate and knowledgeable about tools and tooling
• CNC programming knowledge
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without strain
• Ability to maintain a Quality First attitude and strong team spirit to help keep equipment running within process specifications
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time while performing job functions
