Chroma US seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support both R&D and Production.

Because Chroma’s business portfolio spans ATE, handlers, burn-in systems, PXI, solar, and battery technologies, the role offers extensive opportunities to work across a wide range of platforms and product lines.

Chandler, AZ

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to engineering specifications, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Participate in prototype builds, pilot runs, and full‑scale production assemblies.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve assembly processes and product quality.
  • Perform soldering, wiring, terminating, and basic electrical connections as required.
  • Document assembly steps, test results, and modifications for both production and R&D purposes.
  • Reading technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders to meet precise requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management of parts, tools, and materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors in both R&D and production processes.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualification / Education / Experience / Skills
  • High school diploma required; at least two years of hands‑on experience in electrical and mechanical work. Self‑driven, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Proficient with computers and standard software tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired skills
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly valued; experience with automotive repair or trade skills is beneficial, even if not performed professionally.
  • Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems down to the component level.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and electrical component theory.
