Job Responsibilities:

*** Ensure day-to-day onsite compliance with EHS regulations
* Provide environmental and safety onboarding and refresher training to new and existing employees
* Conduct compliance audits
* Conduct accident investigations and associated root-cause analysis investigations.
* Provide expert guidance on implementation of safe work procedures and completing/updating JSAs.
* Recommend and facilitate updates to site-specific EHS procedures
* Assist with driving a culture of safety at assigned location
* Perform preventative inspections on equipment such as AEDs, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc.
* Conduct environmental inspections and sampling (stormwater, SPCC, hazardous waste)
* Serve as a SME on EHS related topics
* Participate on safety committee
* Other duties as assigned
*
* Qualifications:

*** Minimum experience 2 years in a similar position, associate’s degree in EHS or combination of education and experience
* Knowledgeable in Safety (preferred manufacturing) regulations
* Fluent in English as well as native language (if different)
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate and inspire others
* Ability to speak in front of large groups
* Self-motivated, driven, and positive attitude
* Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
*
* Preferred qualifications:

*** Spanish fluency
* Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations/requirements
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
** Physical Demands:
*** Lifting requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to 37 inches high.
* Vertical Lift requirements:  Ability to lift up to 42 lbs. to 52 inches high.
* Carry requirements:
Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.
* Dexterity requirements:
Ability to assemble small pieces such as nuts, washers.
* Ability to sustain a crouched position and reach repeatedly across a barrier.
* Standing hours:
Approx. 50%
* Computer hours:
Approx. 50%
* Work environment is fast paced, noise and temperature levels can vary.
** Pre-Employment Requirements:
*** Must pass a drug screen
* Must pass a background check
* We do require you to complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) to make sure you are physically capable of performing the work. This must be completed prior to starting.
** Safety:
*** If your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $50 per pair every two years.
