Hard Services Manager

Overview

Amentum is seeking a Hard Services Manager
. The Supervisor is responsible for technical support, direction, safety training, audits and quality control for Amentum facility, production and/or contract employees in a fast-paced industrial production environment. The Hard Services Manager is responsible for the prioritization of work based on the needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved. Provides and/or schedules needed training and cross-training for multi-functional employees.

Implements all safety rules and guidelines for all Amentum employees. The Hard Services Manager is also responsible for scheduling, planning, documentation, maintaining performance and reporting with Amentum management team and client.

• Monitors and/or manages the entry of correct documentation and scheduled maintenance via CMMS
• Manages reactive/corrective maintenance as it is reported and distributes to available technicians
• Ensure all planned preventive maintenance (PPM) is delivered on schedule and meets compliance standards
• Leads safety program for the worksite and maintains reporting associated with safety activities
• Review and improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, risk assessments, and method statements
• Audits work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provide coaching as needed
• Reviews new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work, and addresses accordingly
• Maintains effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team
• Reviews and approves time reporting
• Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and quality of contractor work
• Compiles, maintains and presents various reports to Amentum management and client teams
• Participate and document cost savings and root cause analysis
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

• Ten years of supervisory experience in one of the following fields: industrial Facilities Maintenance, Janitorial, Commercial Facility Services, and/or Subcontractor Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on Excel and Access
• Experience in a supervisory or subcontract management capacity within a technical industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience in a leadership position demonstrating the ability to analyze Facilities Maintenance related problems (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Cranes and Hoists, etc.); then recognize and determine solutions for resolution. This includes opportunities for improved asset reliability, improved quality results, safer work conditions, and lower maintenance cost, improved work plans to increase efficiency
• Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and giving presentations in front of large audiences
• Experience with development and training of a multi-skilled technical workforce
• Experience creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
• Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent trade school credentials preferred

• Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained
