Dbz​/Os Systems Programmer

Immediate need for a talented DB2 Z/OS SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER. This is a 12-18+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Chandler AZ / Jacksonville, FL or Plano, TX(Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $65 - $68/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

• Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include DB2 z/OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities.
• Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities.
• Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system.
• Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
• Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations.
• Hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week.

  DB2, SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER, DISASTER RECOVERY
• Senior DB2 z/OS systems programmer with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience.
• SMP/E, Db2 for z/OS V13, Db2 for z/OS Data Sharing, Db2 for z/OS Performance and Tuning, Db2 for z/OS Disaster Recovery
• Proficient with MS Office Suite of products
• Db2 Data Replication including IIDR (Q Replication, CDC and DPropR)
• Db2 Connect Universal Edition and associated distributed connection methods
• BMC Mainview for Db2, Apptune for Db2 and other BMC tools, RACF security system knowledge as relates to Db2.
• Strong Communications Skills
