Description
The Service Now Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and overseeing enterprise-level Service Now implementations
. This role defines platform architecture, integration strategy, data models, and technical standards while providing leadership and guidance to development teams and stakeholders.
- Architect end-to-end Service Now solutions across multiple modules
- Define and enforce platform standards, governance, and best practices
- Design and oversee integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth2, MID Server, and APIs
- Own CMDB architecture and Common Services Data Model (CSDM) alignment
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Service Now developers
- Guide scripting and customization using JavaScript, Glide API, and Business Rules
- Lead upgrade planning, version control, update sets, and deployments
- Ensure security, performance, scalability, and compliance
- Partner with leadership and clients on Service Now strategy and roadmap
- Serve as the technical authority during complex implementations
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Service Now implementation experience
- 3+ years in a lead, senior developer, or architect role
- Deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, and CMDB
- Advanced experience with Service Now scripting and integrations
- Strong understanding of ITIL and mapping processes to Service Now
- Experience leading large-scale or multi-module implementations
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
- CAD or CTA (or CTA-track) strongly preferred
- Technical leadership role
- Architecture and governance ownership
- High decision-making authority
- Accountable for platform health, scalability, and long-term success
