Financial Consultant, Financial Advisor
The Wealth Advisor I serves as a lead advisor responsible for managing and developing full-service client relationships while supporting firm growth and advisor collaboration. This role is designed for an advisor ready to step into primary client responsibility while continuing to refine technical depth and advisory leadership.
Initially, the Wealth Advisor I will perform both Associate Advisor and Wealth Advisor responsibilities as training progresses and clients are transitioned. This includes hands‑on financial planning preparation, modeling, and meeting execution while simultaneously building a book of business and deepening client relationships.

We are an SEC‑registered independent investment advisor delivering integrated financial planning, investment management, and tax strategy through a disciplined and collaborative wealth management process.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Wealth Advisor I can expect to focus in the following areas:
Client Leadership & Relationship Management- Serve as lead advisor for 0–25 full‑service clients (initial range before graduating to Wealth Advisor II)
- Conduct discovery meetings, review meetings, and planning presentations
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment recommendations
- Prepare and present Investment Policy Statements
- Build trust‑based, long‑term client relationships aligned with firm standards
- Maintain proactive communication, responding to clients within 24–48 hours
- Gather and analyze client financial data
- Prepare and update financial plans, scenarios, and Monte Carlo analyses
- Draft planning recommendations with increasing independence
- Collaborate with tax and portfolio teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including beneficiaries, POAs, RMDs, and account classifications
- Support two Wealth Advisors while building foundational relationships
- Maintain an Accountability Card tracking business development, client load, engagement, and firm contribution metrics
- Participate in internal training and assist with Associate Advisor development when appropriate
- Actively pursue opportunities to expand referral sources and build revenue
- Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000 (Based on Qualifications)

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience in wealth management, financial planning, or advisory role preferred
- CFP certification preferred (not required at hire; commitment to pursue encouraged)
- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, tax integration, risk assessment, and investment management
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑starter who thrives in a collaborative, high‑accountability environment
The Wealth Advisor I is not solely a technical support position. This role entails direct support and relationships with firm clients. Success in this position reflects readiness for long‑term advancement within Ironwood’s advisor career path.
