VP of FP&A, Mortgage Lender

The Opportunity We are working closely with a privately held, well-capitalized mortgage lender with years of continuous operation. Unlike many in the sector, this organization has maintained a highly stable, low-turnover environment driven by a "people-first" leadership philosophy.

They are currently entering a phase of significant geographic expansion and are seeking a strategic Vice President of FP&A to professionalize their financial architecture. This role is designed as a succession seat to the CFO within a 5-7 year horizon.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and strategic modeling functions. This is a builder role that requires a balance between technical rigor and business partnership.

• Strategic Modeling: Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process, providing scenario analysis for executive decision-making.
• Business Unit Profitability: Develop and refine frameworks for branch-level margin analysis, cost allocation, and transfer pricing in a distributed retail environment.
• Investment Analysis: Drive the evaluation of capital deployment, specifically by building business cases for ROI on technological investments, automation, and AI initiatives.
• Asset Valuation: Oversee modeling related to servicing rights (MSR) and capital markets activities.
• Leadership: Mentor a growing team and establish a robust governance framework for financial data.

• Experience: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Industry Focus: Deep experience within the Mortgage or Lending sector is mandatory. You must understand the mechanics of gain-on-sale accounting and of servicing assets.
