Senior Electrical Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Chandler, AZ. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large‑scale facility projects supporting advanced manufacturing and high‑tech industries.

The Senior Electrical Designer will play a key role in developing electrical system designs using AutoCAD and Revit, producing detailed 3D BIM models, electrical layouts, and power distribution designs. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high‑quality design packages.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with engineers, architects, and other design disciplines. This role also provides the opportunity to mentor junior designers and contribute to improving design workflows and standards.

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Produce electrical layouts, power distribution systems, and equipment arrangements for complex facilities.
• Participate in clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
• Coordinate closely with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Prepare construction documentation, including plans, details, and schedules.
• Apply National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant industry standards in electrical designs.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, and quality assurance.
• Support design process improvements and maintain drafting and BIM standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years of relevant experience in electrical design utilizing 3D modeling and drafting.
• 3+ years of experience with Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong knowledge and application of NEC and electrical design requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to work onsite in Chandler, AZ.

• Associate's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 2+ years of semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facility experience.
