We are currently looking for an experienced Designer to join our Mechanical Engineering Design team within the Launch Vehicle Division at our Chandler, AZ facility.

• Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel, verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities to be used.
• Mechanical modeling using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
• Create/Revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME D modeling and drawing standards.
• As requested, may supervise and direct the activities of staff.
• Perform related duties as assigned or required.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, NX and Teamcenter as required.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while under schedule pressure and exhibit a large degree of patience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Year Technical Degree in Drafting or Engineering and years directly related experience.
• Must be experienced with geometric dimensioning and tolerating (GD&T) per ASME GDTP Professional Certification Preferred.
• Experience with Digital Product Definition Practices per ASME.
• Must be a Citizen and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Must have knowledge of standard manufacturing processes including CNC Mill and Lathe operations.
• Must be experienced with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Candidate must be comfortable working extended periods of time at a work station.

• Experienced with weld design per AWS and AWS CWI certification Preferred.
• Experience working with DoD programs preferred.
• A working knowledge of ASME Y. and MIL-Standard is also desired.
