Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit is seeking a LEED Coordinator to manage the LEED Consultant subcontract and be the primary team member focal point to assure that the desired LEED certification is achieved for all in‑scope buildings of our client's facility. The role will coordinate with the LEED consultant to align Procurement, Construction, ES&H, and Quality teams to attain targeted credits.
The position is part‑time telework with at least three days per week onsite at the assigned office or project.
- Lead the Bechtel team in attaining desired LEED certification for all buildings.
- Support the consultant and collaborate with all relevant parties, ensuring technical submittal reviews are completed.
- Identify and elevate potential LEED and sustainability issues to achieve desired credits and ensure adequate documentation.
- Ensure client sustainability and LEED goals are executed on site by contractors, subcontractors, and LEED consultants.
- Act as interface coordinator between the Client, Engineering, Design Consultants, Construction Contractors, and the Bechtel team for LEED matters.
- Oversee and support the LEED consultant in collecting, reviewing, and coordinating documentation.
- Develop the LEED Certification Management Plan and ensure all teams understand responsibilities.
- Review planned construction practices pre‑construction for credit compliance and coordinate with procurement and contracting teams.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with client, consultant, and design/construction teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (design), Architecture, Construction or related field and 8–10 years of relevant experience (or 12–14 years of related work experience).
- LEED AP BD+C qualification.
- Experience with successful certification of LEED projects of similar size and scope.
- Experience training, guiding, and supporting stakeholders to meet LEED requirements and credits.
- Experience interfacing with USGBC and GBCI LEED Online on credit interpretations and alternative compliance.
- Experience applying value engineering to LEED certification practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong relationship building and collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset.
