Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced GNC Engineer to design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools for advanced aerospace systems. This role involves working on high-fidelity 6 Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) simulations to design and test missile flight code, as well as performing mission analysis for flight test and tactical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and launch vehicles.
- Create and validate 6-DOF simulation models to evaluate system performance.
- Design and test missile autopilot, navigation, and guidance schemes.
- Perform mission analysis for flight test and tactical systems.
- Mentor and train early‑career engineers on the team.
- Collaborate on control law development and hardware/software requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and:
- 5+ years of related experience, or
- Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or
- Ph.D. with 0 years of experience.
- Active U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance (current and within scope).
- Expertise in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineering.
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing flight control algorithms.
- Proficiency in high‑fidelity 6-DOF modeling and simulation environments.
- Experience with missile GNC systems.
- Strong programming skills in C (Linux environment),
MATLAB
, and Python
. - Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline.
This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ. This is a fully onsite position in Chandler, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.00/hr.
