Materials & Processes Engineer PGS Worldwide
• Chandler, AZ, United States

PGS Worldwide is hiring a Parts, Materials, and Processes Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense program. This on-site position offers the opportunity to work on innovative, mission-critical systems that advance aerospace technology for future generations. The ideal candidate will support materials, processes, and compliance across engineering development efforts, contributing to high-visibility programs in a fast-paced environment. This is a six month contract to hire.

1st shift (9/80 schedule)

Up to 10%

Responsibilities
  • Review engineering designs for compliance with system-level material and process requirements
  • Create bills of materials from engineering models and material planning systems
  • Support analysis, design, or testing of complex materials and structural components
  • Work with advanced engineering software tools to analyze product designs
  • Apply GD&T principles to engineering documentation
  • Execute complex engineering design, development, and test activities
  • Develop and support test programs to evaluate material and structural performance
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of experience, or Master's in STEM, or PhD in STEM with no experience
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language: MATLAB, Python, C, or C++
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with NX or other CAD software
  • GD&T training or demonstrated proficiency
  • Ability to present technical information to peers and project teams
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and Linux environments
  • Knowledge of corrosion principles
  • Experience reviewing material and process requirements and drawings
  • Background in material characterization, qualification, and design allowables
