Systems Engineer Level 3/4 – GPI – Mission Engineer (Northrop Grumman)

Location:

Chandler, AZ – 100% on site. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance:
Secret. Travel: 10% of the time.

• Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis studies across multi‑domain mission threads, company kill‑chain initiatives, and concept architectures.
• Develop and integrate system simulation solutions, performance models, and algorithms to perform system‑of‑systems trades and assess architecture alternatives for delivering an effect, data, or capability within a broader campaign.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a mission engineering capability including MS&A tools/infrastructure, processes, and strategies.
• Execute mission engineering analysis with oversight from senior personnel.
• Generate engineering analysis reports to support higher‑level program documents (Timeline, PIDS, CIDS).
• Develop requirements content resulting from mission engineering studies.
• Translate vehicle mission‑level analysis into component‑level specifications.
• Support program special studies on an as‑required basis.
• Support development of content for systems engineering technical reviews as required.
• Support risk management (identifying potential risks) and trade‑study processes.
• Facilitate an agile development process and demonstrate knowledge of agile principles.
• Interface with IPT engineering staff as required.
• Possess strong technical problem‑solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system‑level interceptor requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments, and participate in system‑level verification/data review activities.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive tasks to completion autonomously and possess mentoring/training skills.
• Must possess an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Systems Engineer Level 3: $98,400 – $147,600 per year.

Systems Engineer Level 4: $122,800 – $184,200 per year.

• BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or Ph.D. with 1 year of related experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.

• BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience, or Ph.D. with 4 years of related experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope.

• Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• Experience in weapons systems design, simulation, and performance prediction.
• Experience with integrated systems and broad technical judgment.
• Well‑versed in system modeling and simulation processes.
• Familiarity with the MDA organization and its technical execution methods.
• Experience with multiple launch platforms, hypersonic weapons, command and control technology, and the AEGIS weapon system.
• Willingness to work fast and progress in paced development programs.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Experience leading or serving as an SME within an IPT organization.
