WWPS seeks a Procurement Lead to join our growing team in Chandler, AZ
. The successful candidate will have various experience related to Project Controls and Procurement, including Cost Engineering, Forecasting, Earned Value Management, Bid Phase Management, Subcontract Management, and Bid Evaluation. The successful candidate must possess solid technical, organizational, communication skills, and proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and have a work history that represents increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis.

We are seeking someone for a 5-6 month term.

Local candidates highly preferred. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

• Develop and maintain long lead equipment tracking logs.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and OEM vendors to define procurement schedules aligned with design milestones.
• Participate in equipment package strategy sessions with design teams and trade partners.
• Work within a team atmosphere focused on superior internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Reconcile inventory and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Develop metrics and monitor supplier performance utilizing supplier scorecards.
• Work with local and global commodity managers and buyers to drive cost reduction.
• Participate and/or lead supplier/customer meetings.
• Participate and/or lead supplier competitive bids (RFP).

• Integrate equipment delivery timelines into the master construction schedule.
• Identify critical path items and work proactively to mitigate delays.

• Serve as the point of contact between project teams and long lead equipment vendors.
• Facilitate technical reviews, vendor submittals, and long-lead procurement kick-off meetings.
• Track manufacturing progress and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as needed.

• Coordinate with logistics providers to manage transportation, import/export, and site delivery of critical equipment.
• Plan for site access, laydown, and rigging requirements in coordination with construction teams.

• Generate regular status reports on equipment procurement and delivery risk.
• Elevate potential issues early and support recovery planning with vendors and construction teams.

• Minimum of 7-10 years’ related work experience as a Construction Procurement Specialist.
• Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software.
• Proven experience managing long-lead equipment packages.
• Working knowledge of construction schedules, vendor processes, and project controls.
• Familiarity with semiconductor facility systems such as process tools, HVAC, UPW, CDA, chillers, scrubbers, electrical switch gear, etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop and implement Earned Value Management.
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication.
• Fully versed with Cost Controls principles and techniques.

• BS/BA Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another construction related subject or a non-cost BS/BA degree and additional cost estimating experience or equivalent experience.
